When she began looking for a new challenge, the director role at the Mid-Hudson Regional Clean Energy Hub was a natural next step. Since joining in 2025, Tyler has focused on strengthening and expanding the Hub’s work by enhancing outreach, building partnerships, and increasing visibility across the region.

Sean enjoyed his role at the WCC but was eager to return to working in energy and sustainability. So, when his partner mentioned that the Mid-Hudson Regional Clean Energy Hub was looking for a new Community Energy Advisor (CEA), he was excited for the opportunity to join the hub and become more involved in community-oriented work. Sean joined Mid-Hudson Energy Choices in early 2025 as CEA for Putnam County, and he’s since become well-versed in answering folks’ questions around the basics of energy efficiency.

Rocio Sharrock- Energy Advisor- cce dutchess county

Rocio Sharrock (she/her) graduated with a degree in human resources management and spent most of her post-graduation years working in HR. During much of that time, she was also a freelance Spanish/English translator, which is how she learned about the Regional Clean Energy Hubs.

She originally worked as a freelance translator for Mid-Hudson Energy Choices, and she grew great appreciation for the work the Hub does. So, when she was looking to explore new opportunities outside of HR, she was drawn to an opening for a Community Energy Advisor (CEA) in the Mid-Hudson Hub. She said she was inspired by the Hub’s dedication to serving and helping everyone, including Latino communities.

Sharrock has truly enjoyed her work since starting in 2024. She said she’s always eager to help and has become particularly well versed in navigating people’s often-confusing energy bills. She also enjoys holding numerous workshops on how people can save energy and money in their everyday lives.

Fernando Ahumada- Energy Advisor- CCE Orange County

Fernando Ahumada (he/him/él) has been a community energy advisor (CEA) since October of 2022, but his history navigating clean energy assistance programs started well before.

While working with a local Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), he bought a 200-year-old home that needed a lot of energy upgrades, so Fernando reached out to Mid-Hudson Energy Choices, where he was connected with Collin Adkins, then-director of the Mid-Hudson Regional Clean Energy Hub. Collin helped Fernando take advantage of numerous NYSERDA and weatherization assistance programs, helping to modernize and improve the energy efficiency of his old home.

After Fernando saw the impact these assistance programs can have as well as how helpful the Hub can be in navigating them, Fernando didn’t hesitate to apply for CEA when Collin told him the Hub was hiring. Fernando had considerable experience working with low- to moderate-income and Latino communities thanks to working for several grassroot non-for-profit organizations, including the Community Health Center in Orange County, so he became quite the asset to Collin’s team.

Now as Orange County’s CEA, Fernando enjoys every opportunity he gets to engage with the local community, something that comes naturally to him since he’s lived in the Hudson Valley for most of his life. He values efforts to combat climate change and sees the grassroots efforts of the Hub as an important step to achieving the state’s clean energy goals.

Christine Muaddi- Energy Advisor- Sustainable Westchester

Christine Muaddi (she/her) worked in media sales and marketing for about a decade before entering the nonprofit sector. She had long wanted to put her communication and Spanish-speaking skills to good use at a nonprofit, as she feels motivated by mission-driven work. Taking care of our environment is also an important issue for her, so when she found out about the open Community Energy Advisor (CEA) position at Mid-Hudson Energy Choices, she eagerly applied.

Muaddi now serves as a CEA for the Mid-Hudson Regional Clean Energy Hub, focusing primarily on EnergySmart Homes and the Building Decarbonization Program. She helps people learn about simple ways to save energy at home while saving money on their energy bills, and she’s able to help Spanish-speaking residents thanks to her language skills. Thomas Wright- Workforce Programs Advisor- New Yorkers for Clean Power

Thomas Wright started his professional journey as a trained architect. Over 30 years ago, he and his business partner founded Atlas Industries, where they did many design-build projects in New York City. Later, the two developed a line of furniture, which continues to be in production today. Locally, he’s also been very involved in advocacy work related to the clean energy transition in and around Beacon.

His advocacy work introduced Wright to New Yorkers for Clean Power, a partner of the Mid-Hudson Regional Clean Energy Hub. He found it to be a great organization with some inspiring work, so when a position opened for workforce programs advisor, he quickly applied. He joined New Yorkers for Clean Power in early 2025, where he now works closely with Community Energy Advisors based out of various Mid-Hudson counties.

Since joining, Wright has found his background in architecture particularly helpful, as he has a deep understanding of how buildings get built and therefore how they can be improved to be more energy efficient. In his role, he connects job seekers and employers with program opportunities at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). But he also spends a lot of time on networking, finding and building partnerships for workforce development throughout the Mid-Hudson.

Wright has two college-age sons and loves spending time with them. He can often be found traveling with his family and being active in his community.
